Sewing Machine
The sewing machine converts cut panels into a garment. Keeping the needle near the marked seam builds the quality score used by commissions and achievements.
Short answer. Guide the fabric along the seam marker, slow down before curves and corners, and use Sewing Assist in the options if manual control is the only thing blocking completion.

Details that change the route
The 100% quality achievement confirms that a perfect sewing result is possible.
A community achievement guide reports no known penalty for Sewing Assist. It steers toward the seam while you still control speed and can reset a bad seam with R.
Community cross-checking reports that commission quality combines grain, fit, and stitching. The exact weighting is version-sensitive and remains labeled as community-derived.
Corners and tight curves are safer at lower machine speeds.
